Updated February 18th, 2022 by Russ Boswell: Ark: Survival Evolved continues to be one of the most engaging and entertaining survival titles currently on the market. For players struggling in the beginning or looking to advance into the challenging endgame there are some pro tips to keep in mind. There is a notable shift in the game where players go from struggling to survive to taking down bosses for fun. RELATED: 10 Things You Need To Know Before Starting Ark: Survival Evolved After all a standard run of the game is in the ballpark of 60 hours and a completionist run is north of 400 hours to finish. If the driver can shoot as well that would make taming a Quatzel fairly straight forward. On the surface Ark: Survival Evolved appears to be a simple survival simulator, but underneath is a web of complex systems as players craft, build, tame, breed, and gather resources. But the description is a bit unclear whether or not the driver can shoot or just the passengers that can shoot from it. After I looked up what he was though, I saw that it says you can shoot from it while riding it. I've only seen him once and he ran away when I approached. Again while exploring I found this dino that I first thought was a ptero, but it was slightly different, so I examined it with my spyglass and it was something called a Tapejara. I did have a separate question since now I really want a Quatzel. It has plenty of resources, close to water and has land access, so perfect for the base that I want to have. As I was flying around doing some exploring I found a good sized flat area of space just south west of the southern edge of the swamp. Anyone have experience with the Tapejara and know if I can shoot either the crossbow or the rifle from the driver seat?Īres님이 먼저 게시:Thanks for all the suggestions guys. If the driver can shoot as well that would make taming a Quatzel fairly straight forward. Is there a way to build a bridge from one pillar to the other? Is there a max height for the elevator?Ģ) Building another base in another large area of the map. But I'm not sure if that's possible since the pillars are pretty high up. And I can't very well leave them at the base of the pillars since there are lots of Rexes, Carnos, Sabertooth and skorpions there, the area is also not super even so building a dino holding area is not easy.ġ) I was thinking of building an elevator from the ground to the top of the pillars so that I can use it to bring larger dinoes up and down (such as stegos for example). I can't use my Argevantis to carry them up since he can only carry small and medium dinos (and even then not all). I really really like my new base on the pillars, but getting large dinos is a problem. It's various parts are located on top of two pillars on the eastern side of the big floating island. Second one was on the shore across from the skull island. Was safe area, but not too good for gathering resources. The first one was just really my first base near the south east island spawn point. I have so far established a couple of bases while playing on The Center map. I prefer to play this game in single player (please don't judge).
